OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM FÉNIX BEACH: WHAT HAPPENED IN TIERRA BOMBA

WE ARE OPEN🪽

At Fénix Beach Cartagena, we have spent 10 years sowing life on the island of Tierra Bomba, generating more than 150 formal jobs, working with and for the community of Punta Arena, reforesting, providing refuge for many animals, and building a family that believes in responsible and conscious tourism.

A distressing public order incident recently occurred in front of our facilities, perpetrated by external visitors unrelated to our operations. It was a situation we never wished to experience, one that reminded us of our vulnerability but, above all, the importance of continuing to work towards a country full of opportunities, security, and well-being for future generations.

But it is precisely in moments like these that the best of human nature shines through. We are deeply moved by the resilience of our team, the solidarity of our partners, and the affection of our guests and friends. THANK YOU for believing! For being part of a community that refuses to fuel any kind of violence and that knows that Colombia is so much more than its hardships.

Fénix Beach is a place for rebirth. Again and again, as many times as necessary. We've experienced unforgettable moments and overcome many adversities: a pandemic, two cold fronts that destroyed a large part of the facilities in less than a month, and more. But here we are, still working with love and dedication, with sand between our fingers and a desire to continue creating magic. Cartagena and Tierra Bomba are LIFE, and we will continue working to make them flourish. We hope you'll join us to continue being a part of this story…
